Privacy policy

The short version: your conversations live on your phone, what you send is used only to write the reply, we never sell anything about you, and there are no ads. The details follow, in plain words.
What stays on your phone
Your chat history, your settings, and what the app remembers about the problems you have solved together are stored on your device only. We do not keep copies of your conversations on our servers. If you delete the app, that history is gone.
What leaves your phone, and why
When you ask a question, your message - and, if you choose to share them, photos or your screen during a call - is sent over an encrypted connection to our server, which passes it to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate the reply. That is the only purpose. These messages are processed to answer you and are not used to build a profile of you or to train advertising systems.
The app also uses a randomly generated device token so our server knows requests come from a real installation. It is not your name, email, phone number, or Apple ID - we do not ask for any of those.
Anonymous usage counts (optional, off by default until you choose)
In Settings you can choose to share daily counts of which features were used - for example, "the storage helper was opened 3 times today." Counts only, never what you wrote or said. This helps us see what is useful during the pilot. The switch is yours and works immediately.
Screen sharing during calls
A Tilo call can look at your screen ONLY when you start a screen share yourself, using the iPhone's own recording controls. iOS shows its own recording indicator the entire time - we never hide it. What is captured is used to generate the guidance reply and is not retained afterward.
Payments
Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through your App Store account. We never see your card number. You can cancel anytime in your iPhone's Settings under your name, then Subscriptions.
Children
Tilo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the app will say so plainly. Questions or requests - including asking us to delete the little we hold (the device token and any opted-in counts) - reach a human at [email protected].
